JOB DESCRIPTION
Pixar Animation Studios is continuing the journey it started to build a workplace culture where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive and create. To that end, we are hiring an experienced DEIB Coordinator to help support our efforts to drive impact through data-informed initiatives.
The DEIB Coordinator will report to and provide administrative support for the Director of DEIB. This role will also support various people and culture initiatives at Pixar, such as people experience, studio resource groups (SRGs), and educational programming.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The DEIB Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative support to the Director of DEIB, which includes calendar management, booking travel, and submitting expense reports
- Drafting presentations, spreadsheets, and internal communications regarding Pixar DEIB initiatives
- Assisting with the development of key processes, tracking data on inclusion goals, as well as, assisting with quarterly DEIB reports
- Managing the end-to-end logistics for DEIB team daytime and evening events and meetings, as well as initiatives across The Walt Disney Company, as needed
- Supporting our twelve (12) SRGs with their event planning and execution
- Oversee the DEIB team’s e-mail inbox and calendar (on a daily basis)
- Attending key meetings, taking notes, contributing to the ideation processes and ensure appropriate follow through of relevant action items discussed
- Serving as the point of contact for vendors, external speakers, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of DEIB experience in a global company or production studio
- Foundational knowledge of DEIB principles, practices, and pillars
- Highly organized with project management skills
- Ability to manage expenses
- Ability to take copious notes and summarize information
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Able to communicate effectively with executive leaders

Reporting to the Director of DEIB, this leader will help develop, implement and assess strategies, programs and events in support of the studio’s strategic commitments. The Sr. Manager will partner with studio-wide stakeholders and colleagues across Disney Entertainment to identify, communicate and influence opportunities to embed diversity in stories and staff composition, as well as facilitate equity and belonging across the studio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership and project management for Pixar’s Studio Resource Groups (SRGs)

- Collaborate with the Director to uncover insightful ways to strengthen DEIB across areas such as compensation, performance management, organization composition, casting, promotions and development
- Assist with the development of Pixar’s people experience strategy
- Serve as a subject matter expert through strategic DEIB consultation for collaborators studio-wide
- Support studio and Walt Disney Company wide projects, such as annual conferences, resource group facilitation, university relationship development and community outreach, etc.

- Represent Pixar and effectively share our DEIB journey with industry peers, professional associations, etc.
- Select, manage and evaluate vendors or consultants to ensure fiscal responsibility and delivery of stated outcomes

Our Software R&D team is responsible for developing Pixar’s in-house and open-source software. Working with both artists and engineers, we build innovative filmmaking tools that enable our film production and continuously extend artistic reach. One of our flagship tools is Presto, Pixar’s Academy Award-winning in-house digital content creation application used on all of our films. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the team that develops and maintains the execution engine and in-memory scene representation at the heart of Presto. You will collaborate with us in a multi-functional team to extend the feature set and improve the performance of this important software stack, as well as pave the way for its open-source debut in OpenUSD. Are you enthusiastic about software architecture and API design? RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to world-class 3D graphics software applications and frameworks that enable and support Pixar’s film production

As the Senior Media Systems Engineer you work within the mighty AV Engineering group who is responsible for the design and support of all AV systems throughout the studio. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and test Avid Pro Tools and Media Composer systems. Perform upgrades to stable and qualified versions of software
- Solve wide ranging issues around Avid software and equipment in recording studios, mix rooms and edit suites
- Design, install and support audio playback systems in theaters, recording studios and other critical listening environments
- Tune audio systems in theaters, recording studios and other critical listening environments
- Set up Avid editing systems and related equipment, and train Editorial staff on proper use
- Monitor Avid Nexis storage to ensure its continued health to avoid downtime

Qualifications:

- Proficient in sound theory, signal flow, audio and video specifications, and audio equipment
- A consistent record around designing and implementing systems on schedule, both independently and collaboratively
- Experience managing mid to large sized projects
- Advanced knowledge of related IT fields: Networking, Storage, and Mac and Windows administration
- Solid understanding of video and audio production workflows
- AutoCAD experience is a plus
- Avid ACSR certification and relevant Avid certifications are a plus
